Last year's summer adventure involved traveling up and down I-5 in a U-Haul truck after accepting a new position, selling the house, and moving to Southern California. It was a whirlwind. I'm settled now with a new (to me) road trip vehicle and ready to take off.

2008 PleasureWay Excel TS

The plan is to do a big counter-clockwise loop starting with Valley of Fire in Southern Nevada, meandering through Utah and Colorado, up to Wyoming and west through Idaho and Oregon before pulling into Redding by mid-July. Although I love the Honda Odyssey, being fully self-contained and able to stand upright is a big upgrade. The clothes, food, and art supplies are packed; plus, with all of the extra space, I'll be able to take a regular guitar instead of the ukulele!
